What is the difference between a snapshot and an artistic photograph?

  I feel like a snap shot is more so a unexpected last minute picture unlike an artistic photo which is taken out of time and emotion to the photo.

 

Question: What do you think think makes this photo apart of Time Magazine's 100 best collection?

  I think this has been on the top 100 because this is one of the only visual photos from 9/11 of a person actually jumping to their death. The picture is tragic yet graceful because he jumped with no fear.
